TILLAMOOK

  • The region is Northwest
  • The Tillamook had plenty of wood to make houses
  • they had planks to make roofs
  • When Lewis & Clark first encountred the tribe in 1805
  • in one village there were about 1,000 peaple liveing in 50 houses

FOOD & HUNTING

  • The Tillamook hunted fish in the ocean
  • they also hunted seals & whales with
  • harpoons  they built fences around rivers
  • to trap salmon in the forest they hunted moose,elk,and beavers
