A Complete Guide

Safety First

Stay safe. Don't do anything stupid. Make sure that you are able to keep the entire chaotic situation under control. Don't let participants run to your aid. TGs have a responsibility to keep each patrol under control

Learning Goals

What do we want to achieve in the long run?
What does the Realistic First Aid teach?

1.Teaches actual first aid practice
2.Gives them something to bring back into their home troops.
3. Teaches preparedness at all times, uses the staff as an example of crisis control

Simple Solutions

In all my years of doing realistic first aid, I was most successful when I followed these six rules.

Pre-rules rule: Safety and control!
1.Have a good backstory
2.Take your time
3.Don’t give them lots of time to look at the wounds, rush to the staff area
4.Once they know it was fake, ask how they would treat the wounds.
5.Give them the directions to make it at home.
6.Ask them to grade your efficiency. (SSC)
