  • It's one of the most important cause of premature death.
  • Nearly one billion people have had high blood pressure.
  • More than 348,000 American deaths in 2009.
  • It's called the silent killer, because it has mo symptoms.

HYPERTENSION RISK FACTORS

  • Being over weight and obese.
  • To much salt.
  • Too much alcohol.
  • Stress

HYPERTENSION PREVENTION

  • Don't smoke
  • Stay at a healthy weight
  • Eat hearty-healthy foods
  • Eat less salt
  • Get regular exercise

HYPERTENSION TREATMENT

  • Diet changes
  • Medication
  • Exercise
  • Being physically active
  • Maintaining a healthy weight

HEART ATTACK

  • Caused when blood is blocked in your heart.
  • Most are caused by blood clots
  • Symptoms of pain feel like a tight band on your chest.
  • It can also occur in your sleep.

  • Age
  • Tobacco
  • HBP
  • Family history
  • Stress

  • Following low fat-diets
  • Losing weight
