Queen Victoria was born in Kensington palace on May 24, 1819. Her father was Prince Edward ,the duke of Kent. Her mother was Victoria Mary-Louisa of Saxecoburg , princess of Leiningen.
As a child Victoria was a lively, graceful, and mischievous. She exhibited a natural gracefulness, she kept many diaries and studied often in the confinements of the palace.
Queen Victoria grew up in the Kensington palace. The Kensington palace was located in Kensington gardens in the royal borough of Kensington and Chelsea in London England.
Queen Victoria began her reign over Great Britain, but her mother was envious. In 1840 Victoria married her cousin Albert of Saxecoburg.
Queen Victoria and King Albert lived there life in the Kensington palace and had 9 children.
Queen Victoria was strongly influenced but her husband so when he died in 1861, she secluded herself from people and neglected her royal duties.
But queen Victoria regained popularity and rose high in her subjects favor and increased the prestige of the monarch.
Queen Victoria reigned through many technological advances and died near cowes, isles of wight in 1901 and was succeeded by her son Edward VII.
