THIS QUOTE EXEMPLIFIES WHY I CHOSE TO CREATE STORIES WITH STUDENTS USING MYSTORYBOOK.COM

THEORY OF MIND IS A PRE-REQUISITE FOR EMPATHY AND BEGINS DEVELOPING DURING EARLY CHILDHOOD MAKING THIS A CRITICAL TIME TO ENCOURAGE DISCUSSION ABOUT TOPICS LIKE EMPATHY, COMPASSION, AND KINDNESS

MYSTORYBOOK.COM

  • In a small group setting students had the chance to co-create a story about empathy using what they learned from BrainPop and the Scholastic Program: Zippy and Moe
  • They participated in choosing characters names, physical features, and providing story sequence (beginning, middle, & end)
  • They will present their story to a younger class (PK3) on smartboard as "Empathy Experts"
