THESIS :

  • The Great Wall has influenced much of Chinese history, culture, and economy from when it was built to present time.

CHINESE HISTORY :

  • The Great Wall protected the Silk Road trade and prevented invasions.
  • It was created in 770 BC and was finished in 1644 AD.
  • The Qin, Han, and the Ming dynasties built the wall each during their own time of rule.

CONTINUATION OF HISTORY:

  • One of the most famous emperors, emperor Qin, he unifies state walls to secure China's northern border.
  • This Great Wall connected walls in today's Gansu provinces, Ningxiahui autonomous region, Shaanxi and Shanxi provinces, inner Mongolia, Hebei, Liaoning provinces, and North Korea.

CHINESE CULTURE :

  • Stories and legends about the wall help to keep the Chinese culture alive.
  • The Great Wall separates China from the rest of the world.
  • This has drawn millions of tourists and helps them experience the Chinese culture.

  • The Great Wall is mentioned in China's national anthem.
  • The Great wall is a powerful symbol to the Chinese.

  • The Great Wall attracts millions of people every year.
  • Tourists often come to China just to see the Great Wall.
  • The name of the currency that China uses is Renminbi.

  • One of the main things that helps China's economy is the Great Wall.
  • Without the Great Wall, China's economy would most likely fall.

  • The Great Wall of China is one of the most influential landmarks for Chinese history, culture, and economy.
