0. Preparation

  • Blank cards are given out for anonymous questions for the "expert" panel session
  • Drop them into the box whenever you feel like it
  • Open questions are taken afterwards

1. Kahoot!

  • Be connected to WiFi on your smartphone
  • Enter "kahoot.it" into your browser
  • Enter the PIN #:
  • Make any username, keep it clean
  • Choose your best answer per question/round
  • Answer 3 fact questions, last 2 are polls

2. Information Stations

  • Split class into two groups
  • --->>Mihigo, Sophal, & Whitney
  • 8 minutes to listen to the group members explain an aspect of our topic
  • 1 minute to transition and switch groups
  • 8 minutes to repeat!

  • The boring part
  • But first, a video clip commercial on sexual violence awareness

4. Case Study

  • Working with your group, read and discuss the article summary handout and answer the following questions
  • Discuss among your small group members then take up as a class

Questions

  • What were the risk factors that lead to the event?
  • Do you agree or disagree with the outcomes or sentences?
  • What do you believe your role as a CYC should be working with this client and family?

5. Mini Group Activity

  • Working with your group while competing against other the other groups
  • Pretend you are the client of the case study
  • First group to have 15 words win

Rules

  • Each person takes a turn to write down a word that are positive or neutral that relates to the domain of your group
  • Connect words by letters, vertically and horizontally
  • Words should describe the needs for the client
  • Other general words are ok, like "CYC" and "treatment"

6. Panelists

  • Pretend we're expert professionals bringing important topics to the table
  • Meaning one CYC will host and everyone in the audience raise their hand to speak
  • Anon questions first then open questions and free discussions/debates
  • Be mindful of time and others' opinions
