PRESENTATION OUTLINE
What must I do to be saved
Knowing Who Jesus Is
John 3:16 - For God so loved the world that he gave his only son that who so ever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
Knowing Jesus Purpose
John 3:17- For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
Believe in who he is and what he did for you.
Mark 16:16- He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be condemned
Being baptized
Acts 2:38- Peter replied, " Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Covered with his blood
Romans 5:9 - 9 Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him!
Talk to him through prayer
James 5:15- And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.
Doing different works in his name
James 2:21, 24-25 - Was not our father Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did. You see that a person is considered righteous by what they do and not by faith alone.
In the same way, was not even Rahab the prostitute considered righteous for what she did when she gave lodging to the spies and sent them off in a different direction?
Endure through life's trials and persecutions
Mark 13:13- Everyone will hate you because of me, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.
Being hopeful
Romans 8:24-For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have?
Grace and mercy( the twins) follow you
Titus 3:5-he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit,
Titus 3:7- so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life.
Confess your sins and your belief in Jesus
Romans 10:9-10 - 9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
Be willing to forgive and be forgiven
Colossians 3:13-Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
Repent of the sins you committed
Acts 2:38- Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Being redeemed
Romans 3:24- and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.
Ephesians 1:7- In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace
