“I always say to students, give me four pages a day, every day. That’s three or four hundred thousand words a year. Most of that will be bilge, but the rest …? It will save your life!”

--Ray Bradbury

My favorite author has this to say to students about writing.
>
Imagine if we could get four pages a day out of our students...imagine all of them with their heads bent over their notebooks, yellow legal pads, iPads, whatever their medium of choice, their ideas flowing, hands scribbling, the buzz of excitement handing in the air, and by the end of the year what beautiful work they will have created!
I know, I know, reality sinks in and well, a teacher can dream.
>
Perhaps a more fitting inspiration for today would be this instead.

“I don’t tell them how to draft their papers; I show them how I draft my papers.”
― Kelly Gallagher, Write Like This
