THE ODYSSEY CHAPTER 12

SUMMARY

• In chapter 12 Odysseus talks to Circe a goddess that will help them home. She tells them of the dangers that they will face when sailing home, and how 6 of his men will die

• But Odysseus men kill some of circes sheep which makes her really angry and she swears she will kill them.

• When on the pathway that Circe told them to take home the run into the first monster who kills 6 of Odysseus men. Then they avoid the wirlpool without being sucked in.

• Circe does get her revenge though because Zeus sinks the ship killing everybody except Odysseus. /the reason he survives is because he is the hero and his destiny is home/.

IN THIS CHAPTER ODYSSEUS WAS...

• He was smart buy getting past the monsters.
• Showed courage by standing up to the monster
• Betrayed by his crew as they did not listen and then all die making him loose the ship.
