TROPICAL

These climates are located in some parts of Africa and the eastern part of Madagascar. The average temperature is 18 degrees celsius. This climate is caused by wind masses.

SAVANNA

This climate is located in India, Indochina, West Africa, southern Africa, South America and the north coast of Australia. The temperature in a savanna stays around 70 degrees Fahrenheit. This climate is caused by wet and dry air masses.

DESERT BIOME

This climate is located in southwestern United States and northern Mexico; Argentina; north Africa; south Africa; central part of Australia. The temperature ranges from 20 to 25 degrees Celsius. This climate is caused by dry air masses.

STEPPE

This climate is located in western North America (Great Basin, Columbia Plateau, Great Plains); Eurasian interior, from steppes of eastern Europe to the Gobi Desert and North China. The temperature is around 24 degrees Celsius. This climate is caused by mountains that block certain air masses and trap cool air.

CHAPARRAL BIOME

This climate is found in central and southern California; coastal zones bordering the Mediterranean Sea; coastal Western Australia and South Australia; Chilean coast; Cape Town region of South Africa. This temperature is around 10 degrees Celsius in the winter. The temperature is around 40 degrees Celsius in the summer. This climate is caused by sinking air and subtropical highs.

GRASSLANDS BIOME
