Planning

  • When planning for producing our title sequence, I personally researched on other high school openings in the way characters & establishing shots were presented and the way in which the title credits were shown. For example, the font type used and the order in which they're shown. After I had researched this I fed back to the rest of my group and allowed them to have a better understanding when we were to start creating our own.

Filming Title Sequence:

  • My main role during this production was being a character in the title sequence. My character was the "quiet girl" Aara and so I had to present her character through various ways such as the costume and her props (mise-en-scene) This was an important role to play as I had to present a character with a different personality to the others.

  • When filming the title sequence, I also contributed by suggesting ideas as to how to film the different shots we wanted to present. Despite having a story board, I had different suggestions after listening to teachers feedback on how to perfect our sequence even more.

Production

  • When producing our title sequence it consisted of editing, creating a soundtrack & making title credits and by adding a vice over. I helped in all aspects of production but mainly in producing the soundtrack for our sequence by giving suggestions and being a supervisor. I also played a role in the making of our titles by putting them in over the video and by choosing the layout of them.

  • Overall, I mainly had a great deal of contribution in keeping our blog up to date by creating production diaries of each lesson and mentioning the work we were individually doing when creating our sequence. Our sequence was mainly built up from all the research I had done and the planning.
