What is freedom in general?

Freedom is a right that citizens obtain by law.

To explain, freedom was given to our country by law. Freedom is what makes our country who we are today. If there was no freedom, we would have chaos. However, there was a time where we didn't have the freedom we deserved. Some people call this time a dark time. I call this time unforgettable.

The Bill of Rights helps protect the people and their rights. The Bill of Rights are laws that cannot be threatened by government. By making these laws, people of the United States have a great amount of protection. This represents freedom by giving the people their key to freedom.

The declaration of independence provided the thirteen colonies of the United States their own independence. These thirteen colonies all belonged to the British Empire, but now, they were united and so forth named The United States of America. This document represents freedom by giving us the independence we have today.

This picture represents freedom because this woman is worshiping God. She may not be in the best circumstance right now, but her beliefs in God will never stop. As you can see, this woman is black. Blacks were considered less important (you could say) in earlier times. This woman prays for Gods protection (and her families'). Being able to worship God while going through her circumstances, is a true representation of freedom.

This picture represents freedom because these soldiers fought for the freedom of their country. When they put that U.S. flag up, that is a sign that they have done hard work that not every man can do and won freedom for our country.

This picture represents freedom because these black people are protesting towards the whites and the government because they don't like black segregation on buses. By protesting, blacks are using freedom with liberty of speech.

Freedom is one thing we should always look towards in life for guidance.

Quote: "America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we've destroyed ourselves" (Lincoln).
