Plant Cell Vocabulary

Cell: the main building block of life. Every living thing is made up of millions of cells

Cell Membrane:a slim layer that lets things in and out of the plant cell

Cell Wall: protects the cell and gives it a main shape. Only in plant cells

Chloroplasts: an organelle that helps with photosynthesis

Nucleus: contains the cell's information and tells the organelles how to function

vacuole: stores the water in the plant cell

organelle: a part of a cell that has a specific job to help the cell function.
