Barbantio wastes little time gathering his people and assembling a mini army to go after othello, without even hearing othello and desdemona's side of the story. Just like Barbantio a lion can be hasty to go after Anything in there territory or anything that threatens them. Since Othello came and took Desdemona away from him. An example is when Barbantio says " give me a tape. Call up all my people. This accident is not unlike my dream. Belief of it oppresses me already. Light, I say, light!" ( I. i. 156-159) Lions are also very powerful they have others to work with them and hunt until they've made their kill. Just like a lion, Brabantio shows that power too when he says, "The worker welcome. I have charged thee not to haunt about my doors. In honest plainness thou hast heard me say my daughter is not for thee. And now madness, being full of supper and distemper drafts, upon malicious knavery dost thou come to start my quiet?" (I. i. 106-112) Just like any cub behind the cub is a lion thats willing to kill for their child. Barbantio is very protective of his pure daughter and we can all see that when he states "she is abused, stol'n from me, and corrupted by spells and medicines"(I.iii.73-74) Barbantio demands justice because his daughter has been taken, like how a lion will try to rescue its Cubs are lost.
