Hawking's Disability

  • Hawking suffers from a early-onset, slow-progressing disease, Lou Gehrig's disease.
  • Known as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
  • Scientifically known as motor neurone disease.
  • This disease has gradually immobilized him over the years of his life.

About His LIfe

  • Stephen Hawking has attended multiple prestigious universities.
  • University of Cambridge (PhD)
  • Perimeter Institute For Theoretical Physics
  • California Institute Of Technology
  • He has also attended a Alma mater school: University Of Oxford (Ba).

Positive and Influential Changes

  • Stephen Hawking has proved to some degrees the theory of time travel.
  • Stephen Hawking has provided a lot of valuable information to Nasa and colleges that teach about astrophysics.

Changes That Have Benefited The World

  • PhD in Astrophysics.
  • He proves that you can succeed with disabilities.
  • Has a strong and believable argument for the theory of time travel.

Early Years

  • His father, a well-known researcher in tropical medicine, urged his son to seek a career in medicine.
  • Hawking found biology and medicine did not satisfy his education.
  • Hawking pursued his education then, in mathematics and astrophysics.

Mid Years and his career

  • Hawking was married to Jane Wilde on July 14th (1965)
  • Began collaborating with Penrose and proposed theories.
  • Proposed the theory that the Universe started as a singularity.

Present

  • Hawking has supervised 39 successful PhD students. (Cambridge and Oxford)
  • Believes that the Universe had not one unique initial state but many different ones, and therefore that it is inappropriate to formulate a theory that predicts the Universe's current configuration from one particular initial state.
