Once You're Accepted

There's still more to do!

Once your provider confirms dates, buy your plane ticket.

Swap info if you want to fly with friends.

Just because you're going to the same city doesn't mean your dates are the same!

Pro Tips

  • Have a good attitude
  • Take responsibility for the experience
  • Engage with your learning

You will encounter challenges. Your reaction to them will make your experience.

This is your experience. We're here to help, but we can't help if we don't know.

What is the experience you want to have?

Maximize Your Resources

  • Reflect, journal, blog
  • Use on-site opportunities
  • Get a guide - 'Maximizing Study Abroad' or 'A Student Guide to Study Abroad'

Sometimes this will not be easy.

Many of you will encounter negative stereotypes for the first time.

Some of you will encounter different stereotypes.

Arm yourself with knowledge in advance.

When You Return

  • Transcripts take a while
  • They will be automatically sent to me
  • Grades will be posted as soon as we get them

Look out for GEC programming.
