PRESENTATION OUTLINE
The Outsiders Ch. 9-12 R-Z
R is for reading. It's reading because Pony Boy loves books. He is always reading. I think that pony boy can relate to books more than he does with the gang. Pony boy is also smarter than the rest of the gang.
S is for sad. Once Jonny and Dally died everything became gloomy.
T is for theme. A theme is a long paper. T is for theme because in the end if the book Pony Boy has to wright a term to help bring his grade up in English. The theme he wrote ended up being the book, that is why it was in past tense.
U is for unsafe. U is unsafe because Dally was shot and killed by the police for having a gun. Dally had though his plan out well, he had robbed a liquor store so that the police would be after him. Once the police were surrounding him he pulled the gun. When he did the police shot him.
V is for various. V is various because pony boy was feeling various feelings. He had various feelings when soda told him that he didn't like when him and Darry fought about little things. Also that he didn't like when he had to chose sides.
W is for work. Darry works hard so that Soda and Pony have a good life. Soda also works hard to support them.
X is for xylem. An xylem is a very structured plant. Pony boy had a very structured life formed by his brothers. It is supported just like the other members for the gang.
Y is for young love. Y is young love because Soda thought they he was in love. He then found out that his girlfriend was pregnant, but the baby wasn't his. One day he woke up and found a letter from her that he sent to her and the letter that he sent was unopened. Soda was really upset because he "loved" her more than she "loved" him.
Z is for zoo. Z is zoo because when his English teacher told him to wright a theme he was being sarcastic and asked if he could wright about a zoo.
