Personal Statements: The basics


You have approximately 47 lines (4,000 characters) to persuade a provider to offer you an interview. The information you provide needs to be interesting, concise, well-structured and free of grammatical errors and spelling mistakes.


Use Word to create your personal statement then cut and paste into the UCAS application form - this makes it easier to use a spell check, etc

3. Relevant abilities and skills you can bring to teaching

4. Other relevant work with young people

5. How previous studies and work experience relate to teaching

1. Covers literacy & numeracy

2. Need to pass before the start of ITT (aim for Sem 1) Book early.

3. 3 attempts to pass each one (so two resits)

4. Strongly advised to sit practice tests
