1. unrefined product composed of hydrocarbon deposits.

2. Crude oil can be refined to produce usable products such as gasoline, diesel and other items.

1. a combustible mixture of gaseous hydrocarbons that forms in porous sedimentary rocks.
2. used as a fuel and to make carbon black, acetylene, and synthesis gas.
