• Faith, Hope, and Charity
• make it possible to relate to God and grow in our understanding of being made in his image and likeness

MORAL VIRTUES

• Justice, Prudence, Temperence, and Fortitude
• gain by cooperating with the grace we receive from God and our efforts to follow Jesus

GOD

• God is transcendent and completely good
• He is beyond all created things (no galaxy, star, planet, rock, ocean, living thing, energy, or anything else surpasses God)
• He is their creator

"HOLY"

• Greek: "hagios"
• Hebrew: "gadosh"
• Latin: "sanctus"
• All refer to this special quality in God
