• Wave particle duality, light energy can at times show particle properties and at other times show wave propeeties
• Photons, a tiny particle or packet of light energy

• Vacuum,space that contains no matter
• Electromagnetic radiation,radiant energy that can travel through a vacuum and through matter in the form of waves
• Sunlight can travel through our planet by the sunlight being a part of electromagnetic radiation that can travel through the vacuum like atmousphere.

HOW CAN LIGHT ENERGY BE CHANGED

• Diffraction, ability of a wave to spread out or change direction as it passes through an opening or around an obstruction
• Scatter, to bounce off or deflect in different directions
• Refract,a ray of light that changes direction at an angle

HOW DO HUMANS RECIVE AND INTERPRET LIGHT ENERGY

• In the eye, light energy and color info is transformed into nerve impulses.
• The pupil is the part of the eye that detects light, the iris is the part that detects color.
• Then there is the lens which focuses in the Back of the eye, the retina is the part that sends it all to your brain.
