Wants and Needs
1. Short term goals, a goal that can be achieved in under a year
2.Long term goals are goals that can be attained in over a year
3. A want is something that you do need for survival.
4.a need is something you need for basic survival. Like food water shelter.

Smart goals are goals that are

my smart goal is to go to college and get a good job.

it's specific because i want to get my education.
it's measurable because i know when i can obtain it. It is also Attainable because i know i can get it. i can also measure the time that i get it completed.

Values
what we subscribe our time and our emotional time to.
like what people in religion do. most people have religious values.

Like one of my values or views is my religion. I am Methodist. Church is a value that I have and several others may have the same or different views.

multiple intellgences and learning styles
Are ways how your brain helps you learn and store information you've learned

This also can help you learn in different environments. This also helps you to teach other people. Like I can learn in big groups of people and on my own.

Are what your brain works well in. Or how it retains information and receives information.

Like one of my intelligences is musical. I love band and I'm addicted to listening to music. This shows that I have a good learning habit to learn things in songs, rhythms, and poems.

Learning styles are the way how your Brain learns things. Those ways help you understand it easier than they way how you learned you material.

An example of this is my learning style is that I learn very well with auditory learning. I can take directions from people and copy them exactly what they said.

Self concept
Is something that you think of your self. These should bE positive but sometimes can be negative.

A self concept is like when you think you look pretty in the mirror. Or when you say that you look good. Or sometimes you think man I don't look good in that or I don't look pretty. Those thoughts are bad to have about yourself but they do happen.

Decision making
Like weighing the pros and cons of having something or deciding of something

Like whether or not to break the rules and have a friend over a pro would be your going to hang with you best buddy but a con would be that your going to get in trouble if your parents when they get home. So your decision should be to ask if he can before he comes over.

Clutter (Like a clutter personality those are not good but we all have one), Stress (Is something we all have and need to learn to deal and cope with it) , and time management ( something as teens we don't have yet.)

Clutter personality
Are Hoarders, deferrers,rebels, perfectionists and sentimentalists .

Hoarders: people who keep everything
Deferrer: is a procrastinator
Rebel: "if I don't want to do it you can't make me"
Perfectionist: everything has to be perfect
Sentimentalist: holds things because it has a memory behind It.

Stress management
Is how to keep together all of life's stress and everyday problems.

Like with stress from hockey my mom has a hard time with sleep and trying to juggle work and everything with both of us kids she's got a huge day. Not to mention my step dad is always leaving and never telling her where he goes

Managing your time is a hard thing for some people to do. Like us being as teenagers we sometimes can't manage what we do at all.

Like I can't go a day with out knowing what I do in that day because I'm afraid I'll forget. I can manage my time by having an agenda. It helps me remember what I have to do when I get home.

CRISIS MANAGEMENT

Rape is not something that was easily talked about but rapists usually are in there early 20's late teens. They want power and control and 39% of rapists drink before the rape someone.

If you or someone you know was a victim of rape never let them shower after and take them to the hospital so they can get a rape test done. Also don't let them throw away anything that they were wearing or the sheets or anything that was involved. That can be used against that person

Depression is another thing that was hard for me to talk about. I know because I've had depression for a long time. People who ha e it tend to leave these signs. Sleeping all the time,quiet all the time, they don't enjoy things that they used to, they tend to lash out but they don't mean it,and most of the signs they self harm

Being someone who has depression I can tell you I tried to hide it because I'm a happy person and it's my past that brought it to me. I used to self harm but I brought my self to stop and I sleep all the time because I'm tired and don't enjoy most things. But I've started going to youth group with my friends.

Suicide is something that no one wants to talk about because it a touchy topic. Most people don't ever want to think about it but you've got to talk about it so people can help others.

If some one you know is feeling that way you shouldn't even hesitate to tell some one you could lose your best friend/ friend if you don't. It's better to tell someone then to not tell some one and loose some one close to you.

COMMUNICATION

Communication is something we all do. As teenagers we love to text and call. But did you know that texts are in-personal and can be destructive to the way you write

So texting in non verbal and impersonal and can ruin your grammar. Talking on the phone is verbal but it's not face to face.

Verbal communication is when you talk to some one face to face it when your on the phone it's also verbal because your talking to them.
Nonverbal is when your text someone or you nudge them or give them a look. It's not using your voice at all.

Active listening is also apart of communication . Whe you listen actively you never blame them or use the you message.

Is when you say I didn't like it when you did this. Never say you should've not done that.

An unhealthy relationship is when you or your partner is being depressed or of the can't hangout with you when you made plans.

It's really important to know what your love language is so that way your spouse can know what you are and it's important to know your spouses as well.

Three purposes of dating are:
1. To get to know something
2. To show your gratitude for company
3. To help your social skills

When you get to know some one you should get to know the personal side of them. Dating also helps your social skills majorly. You talk to them all the time and don't want it to be weird so it helps your conversational skills.

In semester 1 I learned a lot and grew friendships. I learned how dating online is dangerous and can lead to you hurting others around you. I also learned how to help some one if they are feeling suicidal or depressed. I also found out that an abusive relationship is bad and can ruin your personality and hurt others around you.
