Purpose

To share your elder's story
We have been reading the novel, Two Old Women, and this assignment is related to the relationships that they women share with each other, their families, and their tribe.

Create a Slideshow

Students will interview their elders (they may interview elderly friends or neighbors if their grandparents are unavailable. Although some students interviewed their grandparents by phone or skype.

Your First Slide Must Include

  • Your name and your elder's first and last names
  • The name you call your elder (Grandma, Papa, Uncle Dave)
  • Your relationship to your elder (grandparent, uncle, aunt, neighbor)
  • Where your elder lives (city, state, country)
  • When and where your interview took place

Choose three of the following slides

  • Tell three interesting facts you learned about your elder
  • Tell about something that is different between you and your elder
  • Tell about something that is similar between you and your elder
  • Tell about an interesting event in your elder's life
  • Tell about what you notice, wonder, think
