Ireland is located on the western fringe of Europe.

The green color on the flag represents the native people of Ireland (most of whom are Roman Catholic). The orange color represents the British supporters of William of Orange who settled in Northern Ireland in the 17th century (most of whom are Protestant).

Their climate is influenced by the Atlantic Ocean. Average temperature is 50 degrees fahrenheit. The temperature is never cold or hot, it is always just right. In the spring the temperature is approximately 46-54 degrees and in the summer the temperature is about 60-68 degrees Fahrenheit.

Ireland's landscape is very green. They have a lot of land, and get a good amount of rain. They also have many lakes/rivers.The physical landscape is the mix of lowland and upland, of rivers, lakes, and seashores that provides the arena for life in Ireland. It influences the food they eat and the water they drink.

Shamrock Salad, contains a mixture of celery, spinach, peas, & asparagus, with a garlic/oil/vinegar dressing. Cheese may also be included in the salad.
