5 INVENTIONS OF THE INCAS

BY: EMMA KELLAM

1. ROPE BRIDGES

  • This is the starting of bridges, now we have improved bridges
  • Large rope cables were made from small ropes
  • Made out of llama and alpaca wool
  • Worked good since there was no wheeled vechicles
  • They were 150 ft long at least

2. AGRICULTURAL TERRACES

  • Fields cut off of a mountainside
  • Maximized rainfall
  • Minimized erosion
  • Dug canals for water access
  • Still used today

3. PAVED ROADS

  • Was the most extensive transportation system
  • In pre-Colombian South America
  • Helped us make paved roads better today
  • Still in good condition
  • Was more than 20,000 miles long
