  • Raised in either North Carolina
  • He was a army general that fought the creek indians
  • He became a politician

THE ELECTION

  • Jackson was elected president in 1824
  • Was in office by 1828
  • Jackson was part of the democratic republicans
  • Was up against John Q. Adams and won

EVENTS

  • During his presidency Jackson expanded the spoils system.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS

  • Jackson also had a act passed , this act is called the indian removal act.
  • This act removes the Cherokee, Chickasaw, Choctaw, Muscogee-Creek, and Seminole.
