NATIVE AMERICANS CULTURES UNDER PRESSURE !¡!¡

EXPANSION

  • Near the end of civil war , close to 250,000 indians lived west from the mississippi river.
  • They were nomadic cheyenne, comaches, Black feet, and crowe.
  • They sent them to the great American desert as was thought to be uninhabitable.

NATIVE AMERICANS

  • Moveing Native Americans for white settlers .
  • Gold & silver in Native American territory.
  • Regulates trade with white settlers.

WHITES

  • White men wanted a railroad to get across the contienent.
  • Seperate Reservation to specific area's set aside by Government for Indians use!
