This is a type of medication used to put a patient to sleep when they are experiencing extreme pain

THE QUINLAN CASE
The Quinlan was a case of a 22 year old girl called Karen Anne Quinlan.
She was sick because she was in a hospital under a vegetative state.
After a couple of months her parents requested the hospital to discontinue active care and let her die.
The hospital refused and the parents tried to go against court
Eventually The Supreme Court ruled in their favor.
