GODPARENTS

IN AMERICA

HOW IMPORTANT ARE GODPARENTS IN AMERICA

  • God parents don't play as much of a role in America as they do in the Spanish culture.
  • They take care of the children's needs if needed
  • A lot of Americans don't have godparents
  • Not all goDparents in America go to special events and other thing like that
  • If a child gets baptized there are still there to hold the child at the ceremony
  • American godparents are not involved as much because they don't watch over the children as much as the Spanish do.

As you can see the Spanish and American godparents are similar and different. The Spanish godparents play a much bigger role I there child's life then the Americans do. They overall are more involved in the children then Americans.
