An integrated circuit is a set of interconnected electronic components such as transistors and resistors that are etched into a tiny chip made of silicon or germanium.

JACK KILBY has made one of the four existing models of the "chip", while working at TEXAS INSTRUMENTS. he has won half of the NOBEL PRIZE doing this.
