AIR MASSES

  • air masses Can effect wheather
  • there are High pressure areas and low pressure areas
  • Air flows from areas to high pressure to low pressure
  • During the day cool ocean breezes Move toward land
  • tropical land air mass brings extremely hot,dry air

WEATHER MAPS

  • Weather maps help you see alerts of weather
  • Data from many sources combined on maps
  • The weather map help us know what happens everyday
  • Maps have been in use since mid 19th century
  • A weather map displays various meteorological features

FRONT

  • There are many different types of fronts
  • There's cold fronts and warm fronts
  • The place where two air masses meet is called a front
  • A cold front Forms as a cold air mass
  • A warm front forms as a warm air mass

WIND

  • Wind is a big part of weather
  • Air flows from areas of high pressure of areas of low pressure
  • High pressure areas and low pressure areas form because the sun heats the earth
  • This expanding of air pruduces an area of low pressure
  • During the day air above the ocean is not as warm as air over the land

PRECIPATACION

  • Precipatacion is rain that falls down from the sky
  • Precipatation can be a liquid or a solid
  • Precipatation can repeat over and over again
  • Precipatation is rain,hail,snow
  • Precipatation is water because of rain and snow
