A habitat is the natural home or environment of an animal, plant, or other organism.

HOW TO CARRY OUT A HABITAT STUDY
Draw a simple map of the habitat.
Measure and record the environmental features in the habitat.
Identify all the animals in the habitat.
Collect samples of the organisms that cannot be named.
Estimate the number of each plant in the habitat.
