Anti- drug use message

Madison Acito

Teens use drugs for many reasons:

  • peer pressure
  • stress
  • Media
  • Feeling of loneliness
  • no confididince

Peer pressure
Many times when a person is at a party or with a group of friends and they are doing drugs, it is seen as "uncool" to not do it. Or the teen might think that doing this would be the only way to stay friends with them.

peer pressure
Instead of giving in to the pressure it is better to say no and surround yourself with people who don't want you to do things you are uncomfortable with.

stress
Sometimes when someone is stressed out it is easy to turn to drugs or alcohol to forget about what is going on in their life.

stress
instead of choosing drugs it would be better to talk to someone, take some thing off your plate, and do other things to deal with your stress.

media
now it is seen cool to vape or drink. The media has played a big part in making people think that it is good to be bad.

media
instead of giving into this image of being cool it is better to act your own age and step back and thing about the consequences of drugs.

feeling of loneliness
a lot of the people who do drugs are people who feel like they don't belong or have a place in the world.

feeling of loneliness
instead of turning to drugs they should talk to a friend or an adult. they could also find something they are passionate in that takes away the pain instead of letting drugs do it for them.

no confidence
it is know that people who turn to drugs are people with not very many friends or no confidence. Using drugs might make this person seem "cooler"

no confidence
Instead of using drugs as an answer to your problems, you should find something you love about yourself or try and make a new friend. as long as they know that the feeling will go away if they try then they wont feel like they need drugs.
