PARANOID SCHIZOPHRENIA

HISTORY

  • It was identified by Dr. Emile Kraepelin
  • First diagnosed in 1887

SYMPTOMS & DESCRIPTION

  • Auditory Disturbances
  • Unexplained anger
  • Emotional disconnectedness
  • Severe anxiety and agitation
  • Argumentative behavior
  • Violent tendencies
  • Belief of possession of power
  • Suicidal thoughts and behavior

Impact
When left untreated, symptoms can worsen and a person can lose touch with reality. The person affected can become violent and physician groups hurt others or inflict harm on oneself.
