Meditation 101

  • Sit comfortably in a chair
  • Think of a simple word
  • Close your eyes, remove all possible distractions
  • Repeat your word silently in your thoughts
  • Keep repeating the word, feel every part of your body relax, be in the moment

Meditation (cont.)

  • other thoughts will enter your head, ignore them, keep repeating the word
  • take a slow deep breath every few minutes
  • do this for about 15-20 minutes or shorter, any length of time is good
