Dreams by: Langston Hughes

Hold fast to dreams
For if dreams die
Life is a broken-winged bird
That cannot fly.
Hold fast to dreams
For when dreams go
Life is a barren field
Frozen with snow.

The poem, " Dreams" by Langston Hughes. This poem is about following your dreams. This poem is also about if you dont hold on to your dreams you will lose them. The mood of this poem is touching because it is telling you to follow your dreams. The mood is shown by these words: "Hold fast to your dreams, for if deams die". This poem has an example of repetition. The example is "hold fast to your dreams". I like this poem because it is very touching.
