PRESENTATION OUTLINE
How ATP releases energy
When energy is required, the bond between the outermost phosphate is broken it releases the energy
Glycolysis
Responsible for the production of ATP, glucose is turned into pyruvate
Fermentation
There are two types of fermentation, the first is lactic acid fermentation and it occurs in the muscle cells(when muscles don't get enough oxygen. The next type is alcoholic fermentation, this happens when bacteria and yeast don't require oxygen
Kerb's cycle
This requires 2 ATP in the mitochondria
Electron transport chain
It has 32 ATP in the mitochondria, allows animals and plants to produce energy
