The hookers onion is a wildflower that grows in a Garry Oak Ecosystem. This beautiful flower is in trouble, it’s ecosystem is being threatened by invasive species and humans.
Scotch broom is an invasive plant in the Garry Oak Ecosystem.Scotch broom was brought to Canada in 1850 simply because it was pretty. Scotch broom is ruining the Garry Oak Ecosystem due to its high flammability. It’s also taking space away from the hookers onion
Hookers onion is getting smooshed by peoples feet! Unknowing students and hikers are stepping on hookers onion while trying to help out the Garry oak ecosystem I my self am guilty of this

Our class helped restore the ecosystem of the hookers onion by removing the invasive specie scotch broom
Hookers onion is disappearing due to people picking the flower because of its bright colours
One way to protect Hookers Onion is by planting more seeds. Planting seeds could double the amount of hookers Onion. We could protect the hookers onion for years to come
