  • Neptune is the 5th planet from the sun.
  • Neptune is the outer planet because it is located outside the asteroid belt.
  • Neptune is the 3rd largest planet in our solar system.
  • It takes Neptune 164.79 years to orbit around the earth.
  • Neptune has a stronger gravity than earth.

  • It is known for it's blue coloration,Neptune was named after Roman god of the sea.

HOW WAS NEPTUNE NAMED?

  • Astronomers decided to continue naming planets, after Roman god's of the sea. Neptune was named after the Roman god of the sea because of it's color.

  • It can be -353 Fahrenheit that's how cold it can be.
  • -200 degrees is how warm it can be.

Neptune has 14 moons some are named Triton, Laomedeia, and Nereid.

FACTS

  • Neptune can be seen with a telescope or without because of its blueish color.
  • Neptune is mostly made of gas.
  • And yes Neptune has rings around it.
  • Neptune is larger than earth.
