summary pgs 87-92 :
After that emotional night with Ibrahim when they were crying together, Firdaus finally thought that she finally found love Her relationship with Ibrahim shows a parallel between her relationship with Miss Iqbal perfectly, it reminds Firdaus that she was in love with Miss Iqbal. She opens up to Ibrahim and breaking all the rules, she tells him about her past and break down all her walls to him. She thought that he felt the same way as well. She was trying to defend her love for Ibrahim to one of her coworkers because she felt different just minutes later she finds out that Ibrahim is getting married to another female. Firdaus breaks out the office and cannot realize that she was fooled once again...

• She was one of the most powerful women she meant, gave her advice, let her into her home, clothed her, fed her.
• Page 57, "My skin is soft, but my heart is cruel, and my bite is deadly". She says this to Firdaus as she is cleaning her up and they are talking about life and opened her eyes.
• She tell Firdaus ways to prevent heart break and tells her you can play these men like they are playing you.

don't let these men fool you, they don't love you, theyre gonna play you so ; remember this is just work no feelings; all business no feelings; why can't i feel anything? don't mix feelings; But i want to feel, I want love! You will get nothing but pain if you expect feelings, you are beautiful and have more value than you think you have, nobody should touch you unless the respect your value; I cannot ask a man for anything; who said anything about asking, follow my rules you won't get hurt, just get to your money...there is no love in this game, all you need to love is that money.

Analysis
This was a conversation between Firdaus and Sharifa. Sharifia acted like a older sister/mother to Firdaus, telling her wisdom that she had learned herself. She tries to educate Firdaus to not get caught up in that hopeless romatic phase in her head because that is not going to happen.

Could've just said no: This connected to how Ibrahim talked to Firdaus when they had there "special connection " and he lead Firdaus into that trap to open up to him. It also connects because she was asking herself why couldn't he just stop it before it started but she was already attached to him.

Analysis Continued:

I felt like this connected to when Sharifa tried to explain to Firdaus how this world is, trying to explain that when your trying to play this game you are gonna loose your soul trying to find love and that the road to love is not easy and your gonna go crazy, which is hwy Sharifa tried to tell her to just stay away from that.

This connection was the most important to me because this tied up the whole book for me. I felt like when Firdaus was getting hit the men was abusive because that's what they were taught. All Firdaus wanted in her life was love and she ever received it, she just wanted to love and that got abused and her love was taken for granted.
