Russia and U.S

Christmas is celebrated throughout the world in many different cultures.

Russia is located in Asia.

In the U.S, we celebrate Christmas on December 25th.

...but in Russia, they celebrate Christmas on January 7th.

In the U.S, Old Saint Nick, or Santa, is our Christmas figure.

...but in Russia, their Christmas figure, of gift giver, is called Babushka.

In the U.S and in Russia, we go caroling for the fun of it, to share Christmas joy, and to maybe get a few treats.

In the U.S, we never really get much, snow at Christmas time.

...but in Russia, they get a lot of deep snow during Christmas time.

In the U.S. and in Russia, we have traditions like decorating Christmas trees, feasting with the family, and exchanging gifts.

Some of the carols in the U.S. are silent night, have a holly jolly christmas, and rudolph the red nosed reindeer.

Some of the carols in Russia are,Kolyada Kolyada or Father Christmas ,Let us praise thee, and Christmas Missmas.

Christmas is celebrated in many different cultures with many different traditions that you would be surprised how much you don't know about Christmas.
