WHAT IS RABIES

  • Rabies is a deadly viral infliction that is mainly spread by a infected mammal
  • Rabies is a disease that is mainly spread by mammal bites like dogs
  • You can tell when a dog has rabies when you see saliva on his mouth

RABIES SYMPTOMS

  • Fevers
  • Brain inflammation
  • seizures
  • confusion
  • coma

HOW RABIES START

  • Virus enters tissue from of biting animal
  • Virus replicates in muscle near bite
  • Virus moves up peripheral to the nervous system in the spinal cord
  • Virus reaches brain an causes fatal encephalitis
  • Virus enters salivary glands and other organs of victim

HOW TO PRECENT IT

  • Give your dog a vaccine against rabies
  • Do not get close to any strange looking dog
  • If you see a dog in the street that may have rabies call the pound

WHAT TO DO IF YOU GET INFECTED

  • Go to the hospital
  • Get six vaccines in the stomach
  • Get medicine from the docter
