His maps were used in further explorations in Canada and the United States
We have land marks in Canada that he discovered such as Vancouver and British Colombia
He also wrote the first book ever which told about a British explorer's adventures

REFLECTIVE COMMENT
I think his explorations are very interesting and cool because they are very well known around Canada
He is a very interesting explorer to learn about because you can learn how parts of Canada were discovered
He is a risk-taker because at such a young age he joined the Royal Navy even though he could have died
He's knowledgeable because he knew how to make a map and how to navigate the waters
