Quote: She went to the jail with her mother, and yelled at them, "LET MY FATHER GO!"So did her mother but gotten beaten and yet was still brave!,P.42,43
Connection: When Parvana was brave against the soldiers, it reminded me when I once rolled down the stairs when it had nail sticking out. I didn't know why I did it tho but I did and got hurt. It was said and painful.
I don't have a Connection with this part of the story. But it made me think, That I seem sad that Parvana lost her dad and might not see him again, but who knows she might right? Anyways she lost her father and no other boy! 'ex. Ali' but he is too young!
Quote "At first touch of her sister's hand,Parvana flinched, thinking it was the soldiers. Maryam kept stroking her hair until Parvana realized who it was. She sat up, aching all over. She and Maryam clung to each over trembling."Page.33 chapter 2 😋

Quote "The sun caught the gleaming gold on the medal. 'I have other medals, too," Mrs Weera said. "Some have been lost, but some I still have." She sighed a little, then caught herself. "Enough recess! Back to work!" Pg 86 📋
