WHAT ARE SNOW STORMS

  • Storms of snow that last for seven days (disaster,2015).
  • They can have snow, ice and sleet (disaster,2015).
  • Snow storms can also have 2-24feet of snow(disaster,2015).
  • The tempeture needs to be at least 35 to 20 for snow to fall.

HOW DO I PREPARE?

  • First you should watch local news stations
  • Next you might want to buy shovels or a snow blower,road salt and extra food and water(disaster,2015)
  • Lastly, you should watch how you use your heat or it could cause a fire(lastminuteblizzard,2015).

HOW DO PEOPLE GET INJURED OR DIE?

  • People get injured by shoveling snow
  • 50% of deaths are people over 60,30% are men and 20% are people with out heat (disaster,2015).
  • People also die fromgetting stuck in their cars

OTHER FACTS

  • When you want to clean snow off of the roof never climb on it
  • When your pipes freeze boil water then turn off water and pour the boiling water down a drain then insulate the pipe with newspaper(Redcross,2015).
