Discuss & Brainstorm

Talk about what a digital story is and why it will be a good medium for the current project. Discuss and brainstorm what components students think make up a good digital story. Create some class guidelines and begin brainstorming story ideas.

Explore the Options

There are numerous types of digital stories. Explore some of them with your students and discuss which ones might best meet their goals.

Choose Your Tool

There's an endless array of tech tools to choose from when creating a digital story. Help students choose the best tool by reminding them to think about their project goals, what they hope their audience will experience and feel and what will be user-friendly. Remind students that the technology is only a tool and the most important part of the project is the story.
