FRIENDSHIPS CAN BE HELPFUL

Friendships can be helpful in people's lives. Friends can be there when you need them the most, they can be there when you need to talk to someone, and friends can be there when you need to be comforted. I can always count on a friend to cheer me up. When I need to talk to someone, I can count on my friends to talk to. When I'm upset, a friend is always around to make me feel better.

GEORGE AND LENNIE

George and Lennie's friendship was a blessing to each of them. George created a dream in order for Lennie to look forward to something, and Lennie helped changed George's life drastically by helping him realize that he can't live without him. Lennie also showed George how to care for others.

BIBLICAL PERSPECTIVE

In John 15:13, Jesus says: "Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends". This verse ties into George and Lennie's friendship because they both cared about each other like Jesus did with his disciples. George cared for Lennie so much that he took care of him after his aunt died. George always stood up for Lennie when he said strange things because of his mental disability. Lennie cared for George so much that he showed him unconditional love and showed him what a real friendship means. Jesus cared so much for his disciples and he showed unconditional love towards them.
