Gonorrhea is a disease involving inflammatory discharge from the urethra or vagina
symptoms in women include
- painful or burning sensations while urinating
- increased vaginal discharge
- vaginal bleeding between periods
symptoms in men include
- Green-yellow or whitish discharge from the peni
- Burning while urinating
- Burning in the throat (due to oral sex)
- Painful or swollen testicles (less common
it can be contracted through oral sex and intercourse
Gonorrhea can be cured with the right treatments. Dual therapy is recommended (using two antibiotics at once)
Ways to prevent Gonorrhea
Abstaining from sex is the surest way to prevent gonorrhea. But if you choose to have sex, use a condom during any type of sexual contact.
