PRESENTATION OUTLINE
Blessed are the poor in Spirit for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are the poor in spirit means to not be attached to everything we have. God has given us everything and we should be grateful. We should be willing to share with others just like Jesus did.
Blessed are the poor for they will be comforted.
To mourn means to be really sorry for others and yourself. God always promises to comfort His people when they need it.
Blessed are the meek for they will inherit the land.
Meek means being patient and not easily upset. Meek also means being humble. We are to do good, not for show, but for God and others.
Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied.
This beatitude means we should always try to do the right thing. We need to be hungry and thirsty for justice. We should do everything for God.
Blessed are the merciful, for they will be show mercy.
This means that we should forgive everyone just like Jesus did. We should be loving and kind to all of God’s people. We must treat not only our family with love, but enemies too.
Blessed are the clean of heart, for this will see God.
Being pure in heart means to have a clean heart. We need to keep our thoughts and decisions for good. If we act more like God we will understand Him better.
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.
We are children of God when we act more like him. God would promote peace between His people. He would want us to help others get along.
Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
God knows that doing the right and loving thing is not always easy. Sometimes in our world living like Jesus wants is tough to do. God promises us a life in heaven, if we can get through this life.
